Thank you so much for sponsoring a bear through our monthly giving programme. Your support means a lot to us and, more importantly, it means the world to the rescued moon bears in our care.Your regular donations will go directly to helping them, by providing nutritious food, clean water, and accommodation befitting their majestic selves! It takes a lot of food to sustain these hardy creatures and some very special buildings to withstand the onslaught of a playful bear readjusting to his or her freedom.But before we can rejoice in their progress and mischievousness, there is a long road of recovery to travel. The bears come to our centres after years of abuse and neglect on bile farms, needing expert medical care including surgery and rehabilitation, and your monthly donation towards their care is invaluable.
Once healthy and ready for integration with the other residents, the bears will live in semi-natural enclosures, with pools to splash in, grass to lie on, and swings, climbing frames and other toys to keep them busy. None of this would be possible without your ongoing support. We have already rescued over 245 moon bears from horrendous bile farms and are dedicated to continuing or efforts to rescue more, as well as working hard to bring this industry to a complete halt through lobbying of government officials and spreading the word far and wide. Our sanctuaries incorporate education centres to help affect change from within in China and Vietnam and we welcome increasing numbers of school groups and general tours every year. We are happy to enclose your Sponsor A Bear welcome pack, which includes a photo and information to help you get to know your special bear. We will send you a new photo every Christmas so that you can see how your bear has been getting along, thanks to your support.
